Having been members of NRMA for 25 years we had always relied on their vehicle inspection service when we were considering making a change with any of our cars. Since the service ceased we were at a loss as to what to do. We heard about a pre-purchase inspection service available through MTA and have been very happy with the result. Within 48 hours of calling to book an inspection I had the report available, and had taken my car back to the dealer to rectify a significant fault. The fault had been overlooked at a recent unscheduled service, and the car was about to come out of warranty. Had the fault gone undetected, the consequences could have been dire, and the expense of rectifying the mechanical fault out of warranty, would have been many thousands of dollars.
I can highly recommend the service. It represented very good value for money. The mechanic carrying out the inspection was courteous and considerate (he even gave me a lift up to the station when I dropped off the car), and extremely professional. The report was emailed to me immediately after the vehicle inspection had been completed. I will definitely be using the service again and have already recommended it to several friends.
