I normally don’t write to thanks businesses for their effort because I am usually disappointed in them. On this occasion I needed to have a car in NSW checked over before I flew up from Melbourne to buy it. The seller was saying all the right things and his photos showed a car worthy of buying. I decided to do the right thing just in case. I booked on-line last night after hours. I was notified by the seller by lunchtime today that the inspection was nearly finished. By 2.30pm this afternoon I had received numerous clear photos and an extensive report on the car via email. I was blown away with the exceptional service and the professionalism shown by this company. I placed a lot of trust in them by looking over this car on our behalf and they excelled. I cannot speak highly enough of them.
P.S. by the way, the money spent on the inspection saved me over $16,000 because the car turned out to be a lemon. Thankyou sooooo much for saving me time and money!!!!

It is so nice to be able simply ask and have the inspection completed on the same day with no fuss.
I appreciate your inspectors very through, honest and detailed report .
We purchased an almost new vehicle some years ago without an inspection only to find it had been in a serious accident.
It leaked when it rained, some paint peeled away after just a few months, the gearbox failed after just 4-months.
This was a machine with just 20,000 KM and from a dealer whom had no responsibility after the mandatory 3-months expired.
My wife, family and I now have peace of mind that we are buying a safe, dependable car.
As only an expert such as your examiner can identify a dud or vehicle that has been in an accident or suspect.

Just a note to thank you for the professional and courteous service you provided for me recently. I was rather nervous and unsure of how to buy a used car and Steve spent some very patient time with me on the phone and gave me lots of useful information.
On the night that I booked the inspection it was reassuring to again speak to someone I had previously talked to and not a machine.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service my daughter and I received from the MTA pre inspection people recently - in particular Mr Steve Borg who went way beyond what I'm sure he is required to do :-)
To set the scene - my daughter lives in Darwin - I live in Port Macquarie - the car of her dreams was in Sydney - WRX STI
I contacted the MTA to get some advice on a pre purchase inspection and report. Their advice, assistance, inspection and report allowed us to purchase the car from a private seller with the full knowledge that we were getting a great vehicle in excellent order.
I would recommend everyone who is buying a car to get a pre inspection report and at about $200 it's the best investment you'll make in addition to the car.
Many thanks to the MTA pre purchase section and the high light of the deal was that I got to drive it home - what a car!

'I couldn't be more pleased with the MTA Pre-Purchase vehicle inspection. It was so easy to book with their professional service, staff were happy to arrange the inspection at a time that suited me! If I had any questions my emails were replied to promptly and in a professional, friendly manner.
As soon as the inspection was complete the results were emailed through to me. I could not believe how thorough the report was - it went into a lot of detail and helped me identify some faults to ensure I wasn't buying a lemon!

Having been members of NRMA for 25 years we had always relied on their vehicle inspection service when we were considering making a change with any of our cars. Since the service ceased we were at a loss as to what to do. We heard about a pre-purchase inspection service available through MTA and have been very happy with the result. Within 48 hours of calling to book an inspection I had the report available, and had taken my car back to the dealer to rectify a significant fault. The fault had been overlooked at a recent unscheduled service, and the car was about to come out of warranty. Had the fault gone undetected, the consequences could have been dire, and the expense of rectifying the mechanical fault out of warranty, would have been many thousands of dollars.
I can highly recommend the service. It represented very good value for money. The mechanic carrying out the inspection was courteous and considerate (he even gave me a lift up to the station when I dropped off the car), and extremely professional. The report was emailed to me immediately after the vehicle inspection had been completed. I will definitely be using the service again and have already recommended it to several friends.
